Justice Louis Brandeis #67 (1856-1941) the Justice autographs a slip of paper bearing only his name. In the attached photographs he is captured driving to work in a horse and buggy. He is also caught in a cold winter in an overcoat and top hat. Brandeis introduced the concept of expert witnesses. Justice Douglas said of Brandeis: “he is dangerous because he is incorruptible.”

Justice Benjamin Cardozo #76 (1870-1938). Cardozo’s family came from Portugal.

And like Brandeis Justice Cardozo also was another Jewish Justice who autographs a similar sized slip of paper.

Cardozo is captured in a large closeup photograph. Finally there is a picture of the United States Supreme Court building which was completed in 1935. (The building was the vision of past President Taft as well as a Past Chief Justice Who of these two men refused to even enter the building saying to enter it would create a conflict of interest. These men were two of the three musketeers during the court packing suggestion by FDR.
