This board presents the 15th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Warren Burger welcoming two new justices to the United States supreme court.

Justice Lewis Powell, Jr. #99 (1972 -1987) and Justice William Rehnquist #100 (1924-1987).

(It should not go without mention Justice Rehnquist was elevated to Chief Justice and served longer than any Chief Justice as the 16th Chief Justice).

Justice Powell, Jr. served as associate justice and retired after 15 years of service.

Justice Rehnquist served in his capacity as associate Justice for nearly 15 years. Upon the death of Warren Burger President Ronald Regan nominated Rehnquist to be elevated to Chief Justice. He was accepted by a margin of (65 to 33 and served another near 19 years.)
