Arthur Goldberg #94 (1908-1990). Justice Goldberg autographs a letter in response to an autograph request on August 30, 1976 mentioning he was largely responsible for the passage of the minimum wage law. There are 5 photographs included herein that display: 1. The Justice at work with his hands folded. 2. With President Johnson shortly after the assassination of the man who nominated him to the Supreme Court, John Fitzgerald Kennedy 3. And 4. Showing the Justice with his wife and son and finishing a speech.

At the behest of the new President, Lindon Johnson, Goldberg relinquished his seat on the court to occupy a position with the United Nations. He thereafter came to regret such a sacrificial decision. (He gave up a life position to serve in the United Nations for a period of three years.)
