Justice Henry Billings Brown #52. (1836-1913) Justice brown signs his autograph which includes a quote from the murdered consul of Rome, Marcus Tullius Cicero (1/3/106BC-12/7 43BC wherein Cicero tells us “Freedom is the power to do all the law allows.”
There is an autographed card offered from Justice Howell E. Jackson #54 (1832-1895) dated May 6, 1895. there is also a print o Justice Jackson. There is also a picture of the entire court in 1895 (both Justice Brown and Jackson are standing together on the top row left. There are pictures of both Brown and Jackson were nominated by Benjamin Harrison. Brown retired from the court after serving nearly 17 years while Jackson served for but a 3-year period. He died in 1895. (Another card quoting anything from Cicero by Brown has been seen but once. Also, since Jackson served but a short time before his death this board is one very hard to duplicate.)
