This board presents three mounted photographs. All of them carry Justice autographs on the matting itself. The Justices depicted on this board are identified as follows:

1. Justice David Souter #105. Souter was nominated by President H. W. Bush. Justice Souter did get something right by observing justice John Paul Stevens was the smartest justice.  It is not hard to recognize Souter maintained the middle ground in all things. [for his service he has been praised by many.]

2. Justice Clarence Thomas #106.  Justice Thomas attributes his grandfather as explaining “not to ever let the sun find you in bed.” Thomas was nominated to the supreme court by H. W. Bush.   He sits to the right hand of the Chief Justice.

3. Justice Elena Kagan #112.   Before her appointment to the Supreme Court but after she worked for the Clinton’s she became the Dean of Harvard Law. Antonin Scalia urged President Obama to nominate Justice Kagan. Kagan had preciously clerked for Thurgood Marshall.
