She was nominated to the Court by President Obama , Her parents were children of Russian Immigrants. She graduated Harvard Law assisted the Clinton’s and became Dean of her law school. In all, Obama was told by Antonin Scalia he had hoped Obama would nominate Shorty to the court which after his appointment of Sotomayor is exactly what he did. she seems comfortable with her fellow Justices.
