Vinson was the 13th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court serving as such from 1946 to June 12, 1967 (1890-1953). Fred preferred just plain ole Fred when people addressed him and frankly that was an endearing way of handling the disparity between their respective positions. (Chief/Justice)

Fred autographed a check number 301 from the Louisa National Bank making it payable to the credit clearing house on check #301 in the amount of $151.56 and executing his autograph on April 1, 1921. (never write a check on April Fools Day) He signs the check Fred M. Vinson on his “attorney at law” account.

There are six photographs on the board as follows: 1. a photograph that looks very similar to photograph #2. As mentioned, 3. “Can you give an old man a ride? 4. Congratulating a new justice. 5. At a party with his wife Julia and 6. With his mother Virginia. Although his stewardship of the Supreme Court wasn’t Earth shattering, he led through a sick time in his life.
