Felix Frankfurter #78 (1882-1965) Frankfurter was born in Austria. (that impediment would have prohibited him from becoming President.) Frankfurter obtained a degree from Harvard….he eventually became a professor there. He performed various jobs but it seems important to note he assisted in founding the American Civil Liberties Union. He befriended franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was considered by J. Edgar Hoover as the most dangerous man in America and he had a file constructed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He referred Alger hiss to Roosevelts new deal. When nominated by Roosevelt he was only the second nominee to testify reference his nomination to the Supreme Court. It should be noted frankfurter denied ruth Bader Ginsburg a clerkship to the court. Frankfurters undated autograph is attached to the board. He presents four photographs one in his judicial robe. Frankfurter finds himself in the back row on the Vinson Court. A Pugh art drawing postmarked January 12, 1983 signed and numbered 22/25 is attached to the board.
