There is a first day cover dated January 9, 1963. This cover commemorates the holding in Yick Wo v Hopkins written by Justice Matthews which is one of the twenty-five most cited cases in history. Yick Wo was no outrageous case but one that applied the fourteenth amendment of the constitution to everyone which included Chinese Americans in San Francisco being discriminated against in their laundry business. The case raised not a ripple in America but has become an oft quoted case in briefs.
