Justice Harry Blackmun #98 (1908-1999)
Justice Harry Blackmun #98 (1908-1999) autographs a chambers card embossed with his name dating it December 1992.
Included on the board is a color photograph of Justice Blackmun in red robes. He is also shown in a photograph in a pensive position. Finally, there is a photograph of this Justice that wrote the majority decision in Roe v Wade. There were 2 dissents from that decision. Blackmun got for his efforts… death threats. Roe has since been overturned.
Blackmun went to school with Chief Justice Warren Burger. Burger acted as his best man at his wedding. That relationship seemed to cool after years on the bench.
Blackmun drove a blue beetle and ate fast food (maybe that’s why he lived to be only 91 years old.) He would tell people when he was asked that he works for the government. He attended Harvard law.
The board number is 73.
Offered for: $3300.
