Justice William Rehnquist #100 (1924-2005). Both Rehnquist and Powell (below) were sworn in on the same day as the 99th and 100th justice if the Supreme Court. Later, this Justice was selected as the Chief Justice with the death of Warren Burger.
Rehnquist attended Stanford in California which one might say was a breath of fresh air to the litany of Harvard grads parading onto the court.
